The Freshman Academy is a freshmen transition program for all first-time (non-repeating) 9th graders. The Academy has:

Mission
The White Mountains Regional High School Freshmen Academy creates a caring and supportive environment that eases the transition into high school while encouraging students to value academics and life-long learning.
Student Expectations
- Check PowerSchool once a week
- Use planner each day
- Join a club, team, or school affiliation
- Take a minimum of 6 credits which include: English, Math, Science, Global Studies, Civics, Into to Careers and Computers, and Health.
- Seek help and self-advocate
- Get make-up work from teachers before the start of the school day
Pyramid of Success
Each month the Freshman Academy staff will explore one or two of John Wooden's character building principles. There are 12 character development principles which include: industriousness, enthusiasm, friendship, loyalty, cooperation, self-control, alertness, initiative, condition, skill, team spirit, poise, confidence, and competitive greatness.
Mid-Terms and Semester Exam Schedule
Wednesday, January 26: regular classes from 7:55am to 9:45am. Period 3 exam 9:50-11:50am and Period 6 exam 12:50pm to 2:50pm.
Thursday, January 27: Period 1 exam 7:55am to 9:40am, Period 4 exam 9:50am to 11:50am, and Period 7 exam 12:50pm to 2:50pm.
Friday, January 28: Period 2 exam 7:55am to 9:40am, Period 5 exam 9:50am to 11:50am, and make-ups are from 12:50pm to 2:50pm.
